Probus is a world wide organisation with some 4,000 active clubs. Rotary clubs are closely linked to Probus. To date there are 300,000 members. The clubs are non-political and non-sectarian and open to retired and semi-retired professional gentlemen.Romiley and District Probus Club is based in the centre of Romiley, meeting in the Community Centre within Romiley Forum, The Precinct, Compstall Road, Romiley, SK6 4EB, with ample parking to the rear and excellent rail and bus links. We meet on the first and third Thursday of each month from October to April inclusive and the first Thursday in the summer months, May to September. We have speakers at the majority of meetings with a wide range of topics, all of which are interesting and entertaining. Partners and visitors are welcome to attend our activities. There are throughout the year several social gatherings and outings. Why not come to one of our meetings and see for yourself what we have to offer.
